You won't get the answer from simple math, Sonex.
I saw what you did there, and it was perfect 🤣
But you can feel it. The ending is near
Avan is like one of the first characters you have in Fire Emblem where they're super strong, but while all of your other units level up quickly, he never does and just becomes a backup character.
Avan is the Piccolo of Dragon Quest.
And Popp is like Vageta/Krillin of Dragon Quest right XD
Yeah and don’t forgot usoop too
He definitely cries as much as Vegeta when he is overpowered, but gets cocky when he thinks he has the upper hand.
Popp/Krillin/Miroku : Character with One-hit Kill attack that is tragically underutilized.
Yes, the two original series were broadcasted around the same time
Going through this whole charade one more time with a character staying behind... *sigh* Aren't we close enough comrades at this point that someone can just say, "Yo, I'm gonna hold the rear, ya'll go tear shit up," and have that happen? The whole exchange was just tiring, and I really couldn't enjoy the episode because of it. Hyunckle, just tell them you're rubbish at opening doors but Avan has the key, so you're letting him go instead. -__-;
It's the easiest (and lazy) way to create suspense in a weekly manga. In the weekly manga, they need to come up with either cliff-hangers or suspense at the end of every chapters in order to capture reader's anticipation and this is one of the most cliche tricks most authors used in the 90th (it's still being used today). So, yeah. We will stuck with this nonsense for a while.
Reminds of Ginata parody with Phoenix Stairs :D
my favorite manga, I read it 5 times, just try:👍:

Ahh so that is what he gained okay will be interesting to see how it goes on that. Ending has some nice artwork
Gotta admit the new ending is quite good.
Hyunckel went legit best wingman today.
This is why he stayed behind - so Avan could spend some serious time monologing....
Good episode. Hope Hunckel will be fine...
I really want to go back in time and get the first person who believed that "DQ's spells need to be renamed/localized" a good beating. While I'm fine with Heal or Safe Passage, the names like Puff, Zing, Zip, Zoom, Click, Zap, etc. are really poorly chosen. (Anyway. Why are there so many spells starting with Z? Is it someone's fetish?). These spells really kill the mood during the battles or when the story is getting serious.
Ah, Avan venturing incredibly deep into the legendary dungeon to obtain the ultimate magic needed to reach the final final final boss... The pure Dragon Quest-ness of it all!
Basically Avan grind on the weakest dungeon on the series but gradually getting tougher the more you go deeper
Avan returning to the fight changes things yet not in the obvious way. Hyunckel even through his bravado to cast everyone away for their safety did speak the truth about Avan strength. After being saved by that amulet his strength is massively depleted. Avan is not the same as we saw him before, on top of all his disciples gaining immense strength over the course of all these battles. Avan as he is now cannot keep up with their strength on top of the enemies becoming stronger. Avan does have something more to offer than just standard strength which he showed at the end. His new purification ability he obtained in the same cave Leona and the ladies went into a while back to get kaglimmer which all the disciples had to use together. Avan going when fighter into the labyrinth cave gaining this not quite spell but a technique. Granting him to open this long shit door to Vearn Palace. Hyunckel guarding their backs while everyone else presses on
He isn't weaker than he was at the start of the series, he's actually a fair bit stronger than back then. It's just that he didn't gain nearly as much pure strength as the others did, so he was left behind in that regard; while not a weakling by any means, he's a couple tiers below in pure combat power. So what he brings to the team instead is wisdom and his magic technique.
If it helps, think of it as an early fire emblem character, the kind that early game is much stronger than your other units, but they don't have much room for growth.
Imagine how far dai could get in the cave of trials lol that mofo would come out strapped to the T with all kinds of spells ready to open a can of WA and i love that new ED
doubt it avan said that the latter level test knowledge and dai don't have much of that lol
That was the only draw back i thought of but there is no proof you have go deeper and pass a knowledge like trial remember the cave is a labyrinth just because avan went in deep and had to pass a knowledge trial doesn't mean dai would be faced with same situation and id so all dai would need is a helper i mena leona had helpers as she went into the cave and got her spell
Here we go once again for more
LET'S GO ITS HERE!
OORA
i still cant believe it that the narrator joined the fight to stop Vearn.
Avan isn’t the weakest out of the group, the Princess is the weakest one in terms of strength. So technical the princess would be the one holding them back. I haven’t seen her take down any strong monsters by herself.
I really wonder what will she do when they fight the final boss?
I'm really happy how the series handled Avan's return. It could have easily magic'd him up to everyone's level without explanation, but it's good to see the show acknowledge that a person who was weaker than beginning of series Hadlar wouldn't stand a chance in the endgame, the powercreep is just too much.
Also I'm glad Avan is still relevant despite being weaker than the rest of them by specializing in purification spells as a strong support, that's very smart. If you can't directly fight with them, might as well be good support.
nice episod
If they just found Sora or Riku or Kairi or Roxas, they would have easily unlocked that door for them instead of taking one whole episode :(
But then there would be darkness, space-time travels and convoluted plotlines to fight against too
Dang it, not the plot lines 🤣
15:34 never seen that view before
The new ending song is better than previous one
But ending 2 (the one from episode 25 to 50) is best one in my opinion
Peak peak peak. We just peakin out here.
that argument is basically how twitter goes most of the time
Wait, what the heck kind of broken buff is that new power.
So you could technically power up Medroa to reach nuclear warhead level of boost or something???
Medroa already is nuclear, it vaporizes literally anything it touches... other than magic reflection effects. On paper, it could OHKO Vearn with a clean hit, as it already is.
It's just that with how much power it consumes, the difficulty of casting it properly, and the long cast time that comes from that, once you reach the powerlevels they're at now, it'll usually be... dodged. Noone in the party is capable of holding vearn in place long enough for the spell to hit.
Damn that avan spell is op. You could go 100 high tension in 1 turn!
Finally they are going in!
22:01 about time we were getting another ending
Ending you mean right
Yeah I know
So is this anime gonna keep going til episode 100 because it feels like were almost at the final arc
We've been in the final arc for some months now. Sometimes they cover 2-3 chapters, other times, like this one and episodes before it, they spend the entire episode covering just one chapter. I don't like that they're doing this, especially since I'm really looking forward to seeing the ending animated and spending an episode trying to open a door is a bit much, but so far none of the episodes have been outright boring so I don't mind as long as it isn't rushed.
We got 86 chapters left till its over. On an average of 2-3 chapters per episode thats about 29 episodes at the minimum and 43 at the max. Although math is probably wrong.
